Rolla
hosts Class 4 District 10 volleyball
ROLLA – The
Rolla High School volleyball team has been
ranked No. 5 for the Missouri Class 4 District
10 Tournament, to be held next week in Rolla.
Jefferson City
Helias has been seeded No. 1 in the District 10
Tourney while Jefferson City High is seeded No.
2, Camdenton No. 3, Waynesville No. 4, Rolla No.
5 and Sedalia No. 6.
Helias and
Jefferson City received first-round byes.
In first round
games on Monday, Oct. 22 Camdenton meets Sedalia
at 5:30 p.m. while Waynesville faces Rolla at
6:30 p.m.
In semifinal
action on Tuesday, Oct. 23 Helias plays the
Waynesville-Rolla winner at 5:30 p.m. and
Jefferson City meets the Camdenton-Sedalia
winner at 6:30 p.m.
Also on Oct. 23
the district championship match is slated for
7:45 p.m.
The District 10
champion will meet the District 11 champion in
Missouri Class 4 Sectional action at 3 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 27 at Lebanon High School.
Schools in
District 11 include Branson, Springfield
Central, Springfield Glendale, Springfield
Hillcrest, Lebanon, Ozark and West Plains.

Lady
Bulldog volleyball falls to Hillcrest
SPRINGFIELD – The Rolla High School
volleyball team was beaten by Springfield
Hillcrest 25-13, 14-25, 25-12 in Ozark
Conference play Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Rachael Zamazanuk had two kills, three digs
and two aces for the Lady Bulldogs while
Brittany Braidlow had six assists, two kills and
three digs; Hailey Reppond and Amanda Rogers
each had four digs, and Cassity Triplitt had two
kills and two solo blocks.
Rolla won the junior varsity match 25-14,
25-15. Kaylyn Stoll had six aces for the Rolla
jayvee squad while Kayla James and Gabby Nigro
each had four assists and Samantha Pernicka
three digs.
Rolla also won the freshman contest 25-16,
25-20 to run its record to 9-6 overall and 4-1
in the conference.

knocks off RHS volleyball
OWENSVILLE – The Rolla High School
volleyball team was beaten by Owensville 20-25,
25-18, 25-15 on Monday, Oct. 1.
Junior Rachael Zamazanuk had six kills, three
aces and six digs for the Lady Bulldogs while
senior Lindsay Crutcher had three kills, three
blocks and six assists.
Owensville also won the junior varsity match
25-9, 24-26, 25-18. Kayla James had four kills
and 10 assists while Sam Maples added four kills
for the Rolla jayvee squad.
Rolla dropped the freshman match 25-15,
26-24.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to host
Lebanon in Ozark Conference action Thursday,
starting at 5 p.m. at the RHS gym.

ROLLA – The Rolla High School volleyball
team was beaten by Ozark Conference foe West
Plains 25-22, 25-22 on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the
RHS gym.
Leah Parry had seven blocks and three kills
for RHS while Brittany Braidlow had six assists
and two kills, Amanda Rogers had three kills,
three digs and one assist and Rachael Zamazanuk
had three digs, five kills, two aces and one
block.
Rolla won the junior varsity match 20-25,
25-18, 25-23. Sam Maples had four kills and
seven aces for the Lady Bulldog jayvee squad
while Kayla James had eight assists, one dig and
four aces and Karissa Culp had three kills, one
ace and two digs.
Rolla’s freshman team won 25-10, 24-26,
25-14.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to compete in
the Logan-Rogersville Tournament on Saturday,
Sept. 29.

Parkview
sweeps RHS volleyball
SPRINGFIELD – The Rolla High School
volleyball team was beaten by Springfield
Parkview 25-7, 25-7 on Thursday, Sept. 20 in
Ozark Conference action.
Kim Carter and Hailey Reppond each had two
digs for the Lady Bulldogs while Lindsay
Crutcher had a kill and a dig and Tori Hagni had
a kill.
Parkview also won the junior varsity match
25-12, 25-13. Karissa Culp had three kills and a
dig for the jayvee Lady Bulldogs while Gabby
Nigro had four assists and Sam Maples had two
kills and a dig.
The Rolla freshman won 25-23, 25-21.
RHS is to host the Rolla Tournament on
Saturday, Sept. 22 at the RHS gym. Action begins
at 9 a.m. Rolla’s first match is at 10 a.m.
against Osage.

Helias
sweeps RHS volleyball
JEFFERSON CITY – The Rolla High School
volleyball team was beaten by Jefferson City
Helias 25-10, 25-23 on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Senior Lindsay Crutcher had three digs, two
blocks and one kill for the Lady Bulldogs, now
2-9, while junior Rachael Zamazanuk added three
kills, 14 digs and one ace and junior Amanda
Rogers had four kills and seven digs.
Helias also won the junior varsity match
25-12, 25-9. Sophomore Kayla James had four
kills, two aces and three digs for the Rolla
jayvee squad.
Rolla dropped the freshman match 25-8, 25-9.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play at
Springfield against Ozark Conference rival
Parkview on Thursday, Sept. 20.
On Saturday, Sept. 22 RHS will host the Rolla
Tournament, to begin at 9 a.m. at the RHS gym.
There will be eight teams in the tourney field.

JOPLIN – The Rolla High School volleyball
team defeated Joplin 25-20, 25-18 in Ozark
Conference play Thursday, Sept. 13.
Junior Rachael Zamazanuk had 10 kills, one
block, four digs and four aces for the Lady
Bulldogs, now 2-8 overall and 1-1 in the league.
Also for Rolla senior Lindsay Crutcher had five
kills, three blocks and four digs and junior
Leah Parry three kills, six blocks and two digs.
Joplin won the junior varsity match 25-19,
25-11. Joplin also took the freshman match
25-23, 24-26, 25-14.
Rolla is scheduled to play again Tuesday,
Sept. 17 in Jefferson City against Helias High
School, with freshman action starting at 5 p.m.

ROLLA
– The Rolla High School volleyball team was
beaten by the Jefferson City Lady Jays 25-19,
25-16 on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the RHS gym.
Junior Leah Parry had three blocks and three
kills for the Lady Bulldogs while junior Rachael
Zamazanuk added three kills and junior Jasmine
Rector had two aces and two kills.
Jefferson City won the junior varsity match
25-18, 20-25, 25-14. Sophomore Kayla James had
three kills, three aces and one assists for the
Rolla jayvee squad while junior Karissa Culp had
four kills.
The Lady Jays also won the freshman match
25-19, 14-25, 25-19.
Rolla is slated to play again on Thursday,
Sept. 13 at Joplin in Ozark Conference play. The
jayvee and freshman matches are to begin at 5
p.m. with the varsity contest to follow.

volleyball drops 4 tourney matches
WEST PLAINS – The Rolla High School
volleyball team suffered four losses in the West
Plains Tournament, held Saturday, Sept. 8.
In pool play:
Rolla was beaten by Rogersville 25-14, 25-19.
Leah Parry had four kills and a block while
Brittany Braidlow added five assists.
RHS then was beaten by Fayetteville, Ark.
25-17, 25-10. Lindsey Crutcher had three kills
and two assists for RHS.
Rolla lost to Pierce City 25-20, 25-17.
Rachael Zamazanuk had four kills for the Lady
Bulldogs while Crutcher had five assists, two
blocks and a kill.
In tournament play:
Rolla was eliminated with a 25-16, 25-17 loss
to Conway, Ark. Parry had six blocks and two
kills while Zamazanuk had four kills for Rolla.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to host
Jefferson City at the RHS gym on Tuesday, Sept.
11, with freshman action starting at 5 p.m.
followed by the junior varsity and varsity
events.

ROLLA – The Rolla High School volleyball
team was beaten by Ozark Conference foe
Springfield Kickapoo 25-19, 25-14 Thursday,
Sept. 6 at the RHS gym.
Lindsey Crutcher had three kills and five
assists for the Lady Bulldogs, now 1-3, while
Brittany Braidlow had five assists and one ace
and Rachael Zamazanuk, Jasmin Rector and Leah
Parry all had two kills.
Kickapoo also won the junior varsity match
25-19, 25-21. Emily Williams and Karissa Culp
each had four kills while Kaylyn Stoll had two
aces, two kills and one block for the Rolla
jayvee squad.
Rolla took the freshman match 22-25, 25-14,
25-18. Sydni Kaden had six kills and two aces
for the freshman Lady Bulldogs while Ashton
Tiddy had five kills, one block and one ace.
Vs. St. James
On Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the RHS gym St. James
clipped Rolla 25-20, 25-22, 32-30.
Parry had nine kills, four blocks and one ace
for RHS while Crutcher had six kills, two aces
and 11 assists; Braidlow had nine assists and
two aces, and Zamazanuk had five kills and one
ace.
Rolla won the junior varsity match 25-16,
25-9. Sam Pernicka had five aces and two kills
for the Rolla jayvee squad while Sam Maples had
four aces and four kills and Culp had five
kills.
No freshman match was played.
Rolla is scheduled to compete again Saturday,
Sept. 8 in the West Plains Tournament.

COLUMBIA – The Rolla High School volleyball
team was beaten by Columbia Hickman 25-16, 25-14
in non-conference action on Thursday, Aug. 30.
Brittany Braidlow had two kills and three
assists for the Lady Bulldogs while Lindsey
Crutcher had three assists, one block and two
kills; Rachael Zamazanuk had four kills, and
Leah Parry had a kill and two solo blocks.
Rolla’s junior varsity team won 27-25,
22-25, 25-22. Kaylyn Stoll had seven kills and
two blocks for the jayvee Lady Bulldogs while
Karissa Culp had nine kills.
Rolla’s freshman squad won 25-12, 25-13.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to host St.
James on Tuesday, Sept. 3, with jayvee action
starting at 6 p.m. and the varsity contest to
follow at the RHS gym.

ROLLA – The Rolla High School volleyball
team opened its season on Monday, Aug. 27 by
beating Licking 26-28, 26-24, 25-15 at the RHS
gym.
Leah Parry had 10 kills for the Lady Bulldogs
while Lindsey Crutcher had seven kills, two aces
and two assists and Rachel Zamazanuk had four
kills, two blocks and was 13-for-14 in serve
receives.
Rolla also won the junior varsity match
25-20, 19-25, 26-24. Kaylyn Stoll had five kills
and Sam Pernicka had 12 aces for the Rolla
jayvee squad.
No freshman match was played.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play again
Thursday, Aug. 30 in Columbia against Hickman
High School, with freshman action starting at 5
p.m. followed by the junior varsity and varsity
contests.
